Medicube Zero Pore Pad Mild
$26.90
A toner pad for skin that goes pink at the first acid. Gluconolactone is a large, slow molecule: it stays on the surface and lifts dead cells without the sting, while madecassoside and ten forms of hyaluronic acid keep the face comfortable through it. Seventy evenings in the jar, and no denatured alcohol anywhere in it.
Description
Cheeks that turn pink halfway through an exfoliating step. A forehead that needs smoothing anyway, because the dull flat film is still sitting there. Skin that has been told to pick between rough and irritated. This pad refuses the choice, and it does it by changing the acid rather than lowering the dose.
Seventy pre-soaked toner pads in a 155 g jar, two-sided like the firmer version, used fourth in the routine in place of a toner.
- Dead cells lifted without the sting: gluconolactone is a PHA, a far bigger molecule than the acids in a standard peel. Size keeps it on the surface, so it works the top layer and never reaches the depth where the burn starts.
- Redness kept out of the picture: madecassoside, the centella fraction, comes high on the list with pear fruit, iris root and rose flower water. The face comes out of the sweep an even tone rather than a flushed one.
- Water put back as the dead skin comes off: ten forms of hyaluronic acid, from crosspolymer to acetylated, sit in the lotion. Skin reads plump straight away instead of tight twenty minutes later.
- Nothing in it to sting: no denatured alcohol, no citrus oils, no menthol. That absence is the whole point of this version, and it is what lets the pad run every evening on reactive skin.
Chia seed, melon fruit, ivy leaf, houttuynia and green tea fill out the rest of the list. The lotion sits wetter on the pad than on the firmer version, so there is enough left on the smooth side to take down the neck.
Recommended for sensitive and reactive skin, faces that flush at the first acid, dull rough patches on otherwise calm skin, and anyone adding an exfoliating step for the first time.
How to use
Step 4 · Toner
in the evening, on clean skin, as your toner step.
- Take one pad, embossed side out, and sweep the forehead, nose and chin.
- Keep the pressure light: a PHA needs contact, not friction.
- Turn to the smooth side and press what is left into the cheeks, jaw and neck.
- Go to a serum while the skin is still damp.
One pad an evening, seventy in the jar, about two and a half months of nightly use. Reactive skin can start at three evenings a week. A PHA takes longer on a packed blackhead than salicylic acid does, so if the nose is the real target, the Zero Pore Pad 2.0 carries 0.45% salicylic acid for exactly that job.
