Medicube Zero Pore Blackhead Mud Mask
$20.90
Five clays in one tube, and three minutes is the whole instruction. The mask sets fast over the pore, draws the hardened sebum up as it dries, and the three acids take the roughness off the surface on the way. The nose comes out of the rinse visibly clearer. A hundred grams, two or three uses a week.
Description
The nose that photographs badly. The chin that still feels bumpy the day after a wash. A Sunday evening with ten minutes to spare and no patience for a mask that has to sit for twenty. This one is off the face in three minutes, and the nose shows the difference at the first rinse.
A 100 g clay paste, laid on after cleansing as a weekly step, before the rest of the routine.
- Hardened sebum drawn up out of the pore: kaolin and bentonite open the list, with Canadian colloidal clay, montmorillonite and illite behind them. Five clays set quickly over the skin and lift the plug as they dry.
- The roughness taken off in the same three minutes: glycolic acid, salicylic acid and gluconolactone cover all three families of acid. They loosen the dead surface the clay is sitting on, so the clay reaches the pore instead of the flakes above it.
- Three minutes, not twenty: the paste is built to dry fast. The timing belongs to the formula, and leaving it on longer adds nothing but tightness.
- Skin left looking firm rather than drained: caffeine and copper tripeptide-1 sit lower on the list, with hollyhock flower and swallowwort. The face comes off the rinse tight in the good sense.
Bergamot, lemon and orange peel oils give the paste its sharp citrus smell, which is also what makes three minutes pass quickly.
Recommended for blackhead-prone noses, oily and combination skin, texture on the chin and forehead, and routines that want one strong weekly step rather than a daily acid.
How to use
Step 7 · Mask
on clean, dry skin, in an even layer thick enough to hide the skin underneath.
- Spread it over the nose, chin and forehead, and across the cheeks if they are oily too.
- Leave it three minutes. Set a timer, because it dries faster than it looks.
- Soften it with warm water before you move your fingers, then rinse it off completely.
- Go straight to a toner or a pad, on damp skin.
Two or three times a week on oily skin, once a week on combination skin. A full-face layer each time, so 100 g gives roughly twenty-five masks. Dry patches on the cheeks can be left out of the layer, and the Zero Pore Pad Mild takes care of texture there without any clay.
