• The formula kept from turning: ferulic acid and vitamin E sit in the gel and stand guard over the active, and over skin that spends its days in traffic and daylight.

Keeping the two phases apart is the whole design. The vitamin C meets no air until the second you break a bead, which is why the pot is still worth using in week eight.

Recommended for an uneven tone, marks left by old spots, dark patches that have settled in, and normal, dry or combination skin that would rather set its own dose than accept one.

Step 9 · Moisturizer

at the very end of the evening, over a serum that is still wet.

• Load the spatula with a hazelnut of gel and drop it into your palm.
• Add a bead, break it with the pad of a finger, and stir until the gel turns faintly yellow throughout.
• Spread it across the face and carry it down the neck, going round the eye contour.
• Screw the lid down hard and keep the pot away from the window.

One bead a night gives you a little under two months out of the pot. A morning application works too, with sunscreen behind it.
